Enhancing Research Excellence through Practical Approaches to Producing High-Quality Academic Outputs

Abstract

This community service program aims to equip participants with effective techniques for identifying relevant, novel, and impactful research topics. This community service program is designed as an interactive online workshop to build participants' capacity in research planning, implementation, and publication strategies. This program will be held on January 25, 2025, via Zoom to ensure accessibility for participants from various geographic locations. The program is organized by the Ikatan Cendekiawan Muda Akuntansi (ICMA), which will provide the technical platform, resource persons, and promotional outreach. This workshop is intended for academics, young researchers, graduate students, and professionals interested in improving their research and publication skills. The training content is developed based on established literature on research methodology, scholarly publications, and academic integrity. This workshop successfully improved participants' competencies in research topic selection, methodological rigor, manuscript preparation, journal targeting, and academic integrity. With 87 participants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, the program demonstrated that focused, interactive, and technology-based training can significantly improve self-assessed research skills.
