https://firstcierapublisher.com/index.php/seroja/article/view/140

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities for enhancing digital learning across educational contexts. However, the adoption of AI in religious-based educational institutions, such as Islamic boarding schools, remains limited due to traditional pedagogical practices and uneven digital literacy. This community service program aimed to introduce AI as a supportive tool for digital learning enhancement among Grade XII students in an Islamic boarding school in Riau, Indonesia. The program employed a participatory training approach consisting of preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages, emphasizing practical AI applications, ethical awareness, and contextual relevance aligned with Islamic educational values. Data were collected through observations, student reflections, and feedback discussions, and analyzed using descriptive and thematic analysis. The results indicate improved student awareness, understanding, and confidence in using AI for academic purposes, including information retrieval, academic writing assistance, and critical evaluation of digital content. The findings suggest that AI literacy can be effectively introduced in Islamic boarding schools through community-based initiatives that integrate ethical considerations and student-centered learning. This program provides a practical model for bridging traditional Islamic education with digital innovation to support students’ academic readiness and responsible technology use.
M. https://firstcierapublisher.com/index.php/seroja/article/view/146

Goat farming plays a vital role in supporting rural livelihoods and local food security; however, small-scale goat farmers often face challenges related to low productivity, limited disease detection, and weak farm management practices. This community service program aims to strengthen goat productivity and health through the integration of smart technology and digital management assistance. The program adopts a participatory, technology-assisted empowerment approach involving smallholder goat farmers and local institutions. Key interventions include the implementation of IoT-based goat weighing systems, technology-supported health monitoring, and digital farm management tools, accompanied by structured training and continuous mentoring. The program is implemented through five stages: socialization and needs assessment, capacity building, smart technology deployment, digital management assistance, and monitoring and evaluation. The results indicate improvements in the accuracy of livestock monitoring, adoption of data-driven feeding and health management practices, and enhanced farmer capacity to utilize digital tools. In addition, the program contributes to institutional strengthening through collective learning and standardized management practices. Overall, the findings demonstrate that the integration of smart technology with continuous digital management assistance provides a practical and sustainable model for community-based goat farming development and rural economic empowerment.
Achmad Tavip JunaediNicholas RenaldoWilda SusantiJohan JohanKristy VeronicaHarry Patuan PanjaitanSuhardjo SuhardjoJahrizal JahrizalSulaiman MusaNabila Wahid

https://firstcierapublisher.com/index.php/seroja/article/view/147

Quantitative research increasingly requires sophisticated analytical techniques capable of modeling latent constructs and complex relationships. Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) has emerged as a widely adopted approach due to its predictive orientation, flexibility, and suitability for small samples and non-normal data. However, many academics and postgraduate students face challenges in correctly applying PLS-SEM using Smart PLS software, particularly in model specification, validity and reliability evaluation, and interpretation of structural results. This community engagement activity aimed to enhance quantitative data analysis literacy through a Smart PLS workshop conducted at ICMA on February 5, 2025. The program employed a capacity-building approach integrating theoretical explanation and hands-on simulation. Participants were trained in data preparation, measurement model evaluation, structural model assessment, and bootstrapping procedures. The results indicate significant improvement in participants’ conceptual understanding, technical competence in operating Smart PLS, and ability to interpret and report statistical outputs systematically. The workshop also strengthened research confidence and publication readiness. This initiative demonstrates that structured methodological training is an effective strategy to enhance research quality and academic productivity within higher education communities.
Nicholas RenaldoAchmad Tavip JunaediMarice Br HutahurukDominicus Josephus Swanto TjahjanaLuciana FransiscaIntan PurnamaMuhammad Pringgo PrayetnoArih Dwi PrihastomoAndi AndiNovita Yulia Putri

https://firstcierapublisher.com/index.php/seroja/article/view/150

In the increasingly competitive global academic landscape, publication quality and research collaboration have become critical determinants of institutional reputation and scholarly impact. However, many researchers face challenges in identifying emerging research trends, selecting appropriate journal targets, and developing strategic collaboration networks. This community service program aims to enhance researchers’ capacity to utilize bibliometric analysis and research mapping as strategic tools for improving publication quality and expanding academic collaboration. The program adopted a participatory workshop-based methodology combining conceptual sessions, guided hands-on training, case simulations, and reflective discussions. Participants were trained to collect bibliographic data from reputable databases, preprocess datasets, and conduct co-authorship, co-occurrence, and citation analyses using VOSviewer. The results indicate significant improvement in participants’ ability to identify dominant research clusters, emerging themes, influential publications, and potential collaborators. Bibliometric mapping was found to support evidence-based journal targeting, research positioning, and gap identification. The program contributes to strengthening research competitiveness, increasing publication performance, and fostering sustainable academic collaboration at both national and international levels. These findings highlight the importance of bibliometric literacy as a strategic component of research capacity development in higher education institutions.
Muhammad Pringgo PrayetnoNicholas RenaldoMarice Br HutahurukHarry Patuan PanjaitanAchmad Tavip JunaediNyoto NyotoYenny WatiLuciana FransiscaArih Dwi PrihastomoRomeo Sangputra
