Amidst this backdrop, Zero Trust Security Architecture has emerged as a paradigm shift, challenging conventional trust assumptions and redefining security principles. This paper provides a comprehensive exploration of Zero Trust Security Architecture, its principles, implementation strategies, and implications within information systems. Beginning with an overview of the evolution of security models, the paper highlights the limitations of perimeter-based defenses and the catalysts driving the adoption of Zero Trust principles. Core principles of Zero Trust, including least privilege access, micro-segmentation, continuous authentication, and strict policy enforcement, are examined in detail, emphasizing the importance of granular control and dynamic trust assessment. Practical implementation strategies for Zero Trust Architecture, such as network segmentation, identity and access management, encryption, and real-time threat detection, are discussed, alongside real-world case studies showcasing successful deployments. Integration with emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and blockchain, is explored, offering insights into new opportunities and challenges. The paper concludes with recommendations for future research and practice, highlighting the need for quantitative studies, longitudinal assessments, and collaborative initiatives to advance Zero Trust Security Architecture. By embracing Zero Trust principles, organizations can enhance their security posture, foster a culture of continuous verification, and navigate the complexities of the digital ecosystem with confidence and resilience.</p> 2024-01-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Informatica and Digital Insight Journal
